Try checking the following:

Are your PNG's that the dock refers to in the same location on the HDD every time?

What files are in the following directory:

\documents and settings\[user]\local settings\application data\stardock\objectdockplus?

Are you logging in as admin or restricted user and does your login have permission to add/change/remove files from the above location?

i've tried to save my setup as od-theme but without any success.

What do you mean 'without any success'? You can't save a theme or you can't reload a saved theme?

hi chris,
thx for answering so quick. here are my comments.

What files are in the following directory:

\documents and settings\[user]\local settings\application data\stardock\objectdockplus?

the files are:
AppImages.ini
CurrentTheme.ini
CurrentTheme_Backup.ini
lang.ini
Settings.ini

i have looked inside of each of them and learned that some definitions were missing: the AppImages.ini had no definitions under [programs] for the icons which did not work. i have them setup now. and voila everything works fine for me now.

any idea why i have to update manually the path to the icons i.e. the normal procedure via 'change image' does not work? is it a bug?

just fyi:

i thought od needs a saved od-theme to work proper. saving and loading works fine but without any success i.e. loading the before saved icons/theme.

but anyway, many thx for your quick and kind support. you gave me the initial spark.

cheers
alex
